The Knotwork rug is striking, with a surface with a rich and complex compendium of knots in totally different styles. Made with thin strips of light brown felt, alternating up to four types of interlacing, which follow one another and repeat as borders. Its aesthetic, like that of a fretwork knit sweater, acquires a voluminous texture that, in a certain way, is also reminiscent of macramé.
Created by GAN’s in-house design team, perhaps the most surprising thing about this model is its manufacturing method since it is not hand-braided knot by knot but instead is made by hand on a manual loom. It is a design that is available in three sizes.
