Jean Nouvel designs a virtuosic hanging bookcase, resolved in a single shelf anchored to the wall and the ceiling. From there, steel uprights support the wooden and aluminum shelves, which seem to float lightly in a volume of air. The metal uprights have graduated notches to position the shelves as you like, “magically” held by invisible hooks.
