This is the Alexandra rug from our Glaoui collection, a design made using a complex artisan system of Moroccan origin that alternates three types of techniques and from which the collection takes its name. For this reason, the piece presents textures and changing volumes throughout its colorful design, made through knotted hair, flat fabric, and embroidery.
The Glaoui collection comprises a series of rugs and poufs that mix a varied style of drawing patterns and textures in an eclectic and harmonic way. A complex traditional Moroccan technique is taken to another aesthetic dimension by designer Sandra Figuerola, who has been inspired by colors, graphics, and topographies of African and Indian origin for her motifs.
