Ava represents the natural continuation of a path that began with the metal table project for meeting rooms from the Elements series for UniFor, now proposing a dining table entirely in wood. This table explores wood’s warmth and tactile effect to create a sustainable modular product suitable for domestic and commercial use. Inspired by the light shapes of aircraft wings and bridges, the table comprises two main segments – a central section and a protruding end – which can be combined into a single table of any desired length.
The bridge structure makes it a minimalist sculptural object in detail and with a high-quality finish. The joints between the two resulting sections are accentuated by a shadow leak reminiscent of architectural traditions. The object’s geometry allows the terminal sections to protrude up to one meter on both sides without losing stability and rigidity. The table is made entirely of wood, excluding the fixing elements, with the legs sculpted in a tapered form from the widest one at the top, which offers greater support, tapering more and more towards the ground. The table is available in walnut and eucalyptus finishes, and the versions for sale are proposed in three standard sizes.
