Asterias, a cactus plant native to the mountainous areas of Mexico, gives the name of this new project by Patricia Urquiola. A generously-sized round table, characterized by a central base reminiscent of the cactus from which it takes its name. They are made up of six panels of curved wood, in the shape of a segment, applied in relief on the central plinth. The panels are made with the peculiar technique of 3D printing. In the wooden version, the top (160 or 180 cm), with a rounded edge, is divided into three segments that reflect an interesting geometric design. In addition, the table has a practical accessory: a central turntable (Lazy Susan), much appreciated in Asian countries.
